Well, I don’t think that this will be a big surprise to anyone who follows Massachusetts politics or who read my previous post; I am endorsing Elizabeth Warren for U. S. Senate. I expect to be actively involved in the campaign as a volunteer. There are a number of good candidates in the race. (There were a few more when I made my original decision.) I join with so many others in endorsing Elizabeth’s candidacy.
I made my decision to support her early on, within a few weeks of meeting her. I listened to her and especially saw how people reacted to her. I made a decision that I want Elizabeth Warren to be my voice in the U. S. Senate.
And she has committed to running a strong grassroots campaign. We are fired up and ready to go. The first in a series of volunteer meetings is scheduled for Tuesday at Framingham State University. Elizabeth is so committed to the grassroots efforts that she herself will be at this meeting and at similar events across the state. She started her campaign with a “listening tour.” Now she will start her “volunteer tour.”
If you agree with me and want Elizabeth to be our U. S. Senator, please try to come to the Framingham meeting. This will be the kickoff of the grassroots campaign. It will also be an opportunity for you to volunteer in the grassroots efforts that we will need for the rest of the meetings. If you are interested in making a significant time commitment to the campaign, joining us at this meeting is a great place to start. If you can’t do Tuesday, that is not a problem. There will be meetings all over the state over the next few weeks. People are welcome to come to multiple meetings.

But something on the South Shore would be nice. We have a ton of great activists in this conservative corner who often feel like we’re neglected.
Nice to talk with you. I should have thanked you for your kind words the other day. Kate
Unfortunately I can’t make Framingham on Tuesday because of Town Meeting, but I will make it to Brockton.
Links with special non-ASCII characters don’t travel well – they’re likely to be munged in transit, like when someone copies and pastes into an email. Unfortunately, the title has a non-ASCII Microsoft “smart quote” and this blog software automatically turned that into part of the URL. Sure, I could URL-encode it by hand, but that will still be unencoded at some point and lead to the same problem.
Is there a stable link to this post that is in plain ASCII, that I can use for bookmarking, re-posting, emailing, or other sorts of sharing?

It will be great to work together again!
Here is a facebook event that people can share.

Is it “fatebook official” since I posted the picture? Apologies for the video. I couldn’t resist!
