Here is the link for the poll – you get to choose whether you support the police action against Occupied Boston protesters or not, yes no.
I know that when I called the Mayor’s response line, the first question was “where are you calling from” – and the fact that the NECN poll currently is running 2:1 in support of police arresting peacefull protesters – and non protestors there as medics or National Lawyerws Guild Legal Observers, and even a reporter or two – Could Tommie Menino and his staff have asked folks to call? Could that happen? I bet it did.
If you have looked at the videos, and read the accounts and you do NOT support the 100 arrests and the rough treatment of peaceful people who were not resisting, this is your chance to vote a visible NO.

I thank anyone who took the time to go to the poll and vote before it closes at 9:00 PM tonight.

Votes are still being taken, and the “NO” Menino you were WRONG vote does keep getting larger – maybe as the photos and videos of night stick clubbing and choke holds are getting out there on facebook and twitter and more folks know…just how roughly elderly vets and unresisting citizens were treated.

Online polls are self-selecting and not the least bit scientific. They are like fortune-telling sessions, “for entertainment purposes only”.

Menino is self selecting and not the least bit scientific, and he gets taken seriously.

YES mayor Menino was right: 43.88%
NO mayor Menino was wrong: 56.12%
Thanks to everyone who took time to vote; hopefully it sends a message to SOME folks.

Or you can better astroturf than the mayor? BTW, no one can actually prove he astroturfed the poll, but you clearly did. So what does that prove? What message does it send? Even if the Mayor heard about this poll, and that is a huge IF, i am sure it would include the context of “we were ahead until someone on BMG started telling people to vote”.
There are some good citizens out in Dewey square with real stories that deserve to be heard, but its getting drowned out by this kind of silliness.

I don’t think you know what astroturf means. If amberpaw was paying us to participate in that poll, I didn’t get any money. Posting on a political blog and asking people to participate in an internet poll is an actual grassroots action.

Online polls are meaningless anyway.

It all needs to stop. The protesters have no clear objectives, are public nuisances, and are wasting taxpayer money on police details and cleanup. 24.7%
Good for them. It’s nice to see a new generation of socially active people. Let those who are greedy be held accountable. 63.75%
I have mixed feelings. I thoroughly support the right to protest, but don’t completely agree with these protesters’ message and methods.
