Herman Cain’s absolutely nauseating attack against Sharon Bialek confirms his guilt. To quote Doonesbury, “That’s Guilty! Guilty, Guilty, Guilty!!”
None — absolutely none — of the smears he directed at her are remotely relevant to the truth of what she says. He went from nauseating to absurd when he spoke of taking a lie detector test. Surely even Herman Cain knows how totally discredited polygraphs are today.
Today’s press conference, filled with one irrelevant verbal assault after another on Ms. Bailek, absolutely convinces me of the essential truth of the charges brought by these women. His decision to smear her and his attempt to publicly humiliate her is appallingly offensive.
If the mainstream media has any integrity whatsoever, they will pursue the truth of the factual claims made by Ms. Bailek. If Mr. Cain upgraded the room, if he bought the Italian dinner, if he rented the vehicle — all items that are surely in his expense account records, his charge account records, the call-sheets of the limo company, etc. — then his attempted smears against Ms. Bailek become even more starkly offensive.
