Two people who don’t know squat about history (beyond the vocabulary lists that start each textbook chapter) having a pissing contest about who knows about history. Because Obama and Gingrich have the same policies.
This is just words. The Republican Party’s owners have instructed their employees, and said employees are doing their limited best to carry out the orders to kneecap Gingrich. It was easy to take out Cain — can they do the same to Newt?
I said they can. Not enough to knock him out of NH or IA, but Gingrich won’t get his mitts on the money needed to keep on keeping on.

is that this clip is from Fox News, which has seemed relentlessly anti-Romney for months. If they don’t much care for Newt either, who do they actually want? I mean, who’s left?
The right-wing, Glenn Beck, Fox, and the GOP long ago dropped any pretense of bothering with what words actually mean, whether statements are or are not true, or accurately quoting people.
The result is just more content-free babbling. This particular piece reminds of two or three guitar rockers trading their favorite screaming riffs, utterly ignoring rhythm, lyrics, harmony, or any of the other elements of any music (including rock and roll), and not even listening to each other.
The fact that any Americans (never mind American voters) take this stuff seriously is honestly baffling to me. I’m reminded of noticing tabloids for the very first time — a National Enquirer with a piece about a “Human Head Transplant” prominently featured on the front page.
There was a time when such rubbish was relegated to supermarket tabloids. Now, apparently, something approaching 50% of the American public actually believe this trash.

Ideally Fox wants the Republicans to lose and Obama to win. It means they can hire out of work ex-candidates really cheap as “analysts” and continue to get high ratings with low accountability by opposing a President. Rush always got higher ratings when Clinton was in office and came back into the spotlight by bashing Obama. Its a lot easier for them to make entertaining and factless accusations attacking those in power, makes them look like the little guy. A lot harder to defend when they get in, since conservatives campaign on the principle that government doesn’t work and then prove it by their inept governing.

Who is left?
Are they still hoping for a Perry comeback?
