And these protests are ongoing. Suddenly, it looks like Vladimir Putin may have opponents that, I am sure, were not on his radar as he seeks to regain the presidency of Russia.

Recent arrest at the white house of Adrian Parsons. Will 2012 be the year Washington, D.C. gets statehood, and has representation before being taxed?
Will someone do the Disney Film – “Brave LIttle Sink” – the arrest of a sink puts Boston on the map!

Given Pressley and Arroyo’s first and second place finish in the hotly contested Boston City Council at-Large race, I’d nominate this mostly new generation “Team Unity” photo for one of the best of the year. The venue choice (outside the Council Chambers and in front of a long line of photos of former Boston City Councilors that includes Jimmy Kelly, Flaherty & Feeney and literally dozens of old white men) is quite apt:
