In the Second Suffolk and Middlesex special senate election (Allston-Brighton, Back Bay, North Cambridge, Belmont, Watertown), State Representative Will Brownsberger won the Democratic primary. According to a tweet from the Watertown Tab:

Will Brownsberger is one of the truly good guys in the legislature. He has an interactive website where he reflects on his thinking with constituents and actively asks for opinions about issues facing the legislature.
He has lots of friends and constituents in Arlington, where we cheered him on even though we are not in the senate district. We will miss him as one of our state representatives, but we are overjoyed that such a good guy has made his way to the senate.
Vote totals by municipality are lovingly reported on rwinters.com – Brownsberger won by 1059 votes out of 15,197 cast. Brownsberger won Belmont and Cambridge, Hecht won Watertown, and Schofield won Boston.
Where did the total vote come from?
Belmont 4846 (32%)
