Tom is a good man and a thoughtful legislator. The race changes yet again. I have admired Rep. Conroy for his work, especially his research on the impact of casino gambling.
It’s been a long day. Thanks to all who joined us at the holiday party.
Please share widely!
Senator Jamie Eldridge: Tom, thank you for running such a thoughtful, serious race
Mara Dolan: Your candidacy did Massachusetts proud, and I thank you. I look forward to all the great things coming your way.
Sue Kennedy: Tom’s great Dem! Hopefully he will remain in politics!
about no one in Western Mass knowing who the other Democratic contenders are, here’s the headline from Masslive, the website of The Springfield Republican:
So her first political debate ever will be against Scott Brown in September?
Not what I was hoping for.

When Alan Khazei, Conroy and Massie were all still running. It was then that the whole Warren didn’t-take-her-clothes-off-to-pay-for-school-“thank-god” flap happened.
SO her first political debate when the average voter is paying attention will be against Scott Brown in September?
Don’t get me wrong — I like what I know about her. There’s so much I don’t know, however.
Unlikely, but a debate between Elizabeth and Marisa would be very interesting. Not sure if it would help or hurt Elizabeth in the final. But I can’t imagine either of these indulging in negative campaigning.
Obviously Marisa would have to get 15% of the convention vote, which is possible but probably won’t happen.
