We just had a state senate special election here in Boston and Cambridge and a few nearby towns today. Polls closed a little less than 2 hours ago.
Boston.com front page: nothing at all. No mention of the election, or results.
I click “politics” and search the page: still nothing.
I click “local” and search the page: still nothing.
Did they not even cover this election? Or are they just hiding it really really well?
Edit: About 25 minutes after I posted, an article about this race did get posted, though I don’t see any reference to it on the front page (even in small print).
Please share widely!

David Bernstein is a better journalist than the entire Globe staff combined. He seems to be the only one covering the election tonight.

The Belmont Patch live blogging had Brownsberger declaring victory at 8:37. They’ve got district-wide vote totals, too. Watertown Patch also in the game.
Agree that it looks like the Globe can’t be bothered.

a Corporate Citizenness like the New York Times Company, but here am I, sorely tempted.
I mean, fancy having to cater to Blue Blazers so genteel and yup-market that they cannot wait two hours and eight minutes to read what they already know.

It posted itself without any conscious intention on my part. it should begin
“Ordinarily I would find it difficult to sympathize with” and so on.
Happy days.
