I’m encouraging you to consider attending an event for Elizabeth Warren coming up on Sunday here in Boston. The event is this Sunday, March 25 at 4:30 PM at the Boston Teachers Union, 180 Mount Vernon Street, Dorchester, MA 02125. The suggested donation is $50. Donation for students is $20.12.
Here’s the campaign’s pitch…
We’re running a true grassroots campaign funded by men and women all across the Commonwealth. Big corporate interests are lining up behind Scott Brown’s campaign, and Elizabeth is counting on you to line up behind hers. With your support, we’ve made a lot of progress over the past several months raising funds to compete, but there’s a lot of work to do to catch up to Scott Brown’s big head start. He has a two-to-one cash advantage. We’re hosting a huge grassroots party with Elizabeth on March 25th in Boston to finish the first quarter strong and keep our momentum for the tough fight ahead. Can you make it?
Please come if you can!
RSVP on line or by e-mail to events@elizabethwarren.com or call 617-591-2800.
In addition to helping fund the campaign, there will be opportunities to meet other supporters and staff members. Many people have been talking about wanting to help the campaign. There will be opportunities to learn about some easy ways to help.
Signature papers: Elizabeth needs 10,000 certified signatures for her name to appear on the ballot in the fall. Asking family and friends for signatures is an easy way to begin having conversations about the campaign for U. S. Senate. Nomination papers and instructions will be available for those who are interested. If you are not in a position to collect signatures, you’ll have the opportunity to sign to help get her on the ballot.
Sign up to be a delegate to the convention: Although, it is past the time for election of delegates at caucuses, there is still the opportunity to become a delegate in support of Elizabeth Warren. Consistent with the Democratic Party’s commitment to including historically underrepresented communities, the option exists to be an add-on delegate in the youth, minority and disabled categories.
Bumper stickers are an easy, fun way to help. There will be bumper stickers available to people who are attending the event.
The event is easily accessible by the Red Line and by car. For those who are not from the area, please be aware that there are multiple Mount Vernon streets in Boston. If you are using a GPS be sure to check the zip code.
Are any BMGers going to be there? Maybe we can connect.
