This election is important for what it says about support for unions, the attention span of the American/Wisconsin electorate, and the presidential election in the fall. Back in February of 2011 many of us demonstrated our solidarity. See below – lets not forget that this election is “on” tomorrow.

If the robocalls are as described, they constitute election fraud.

Watergate was illegal. Selling arms to the nation at the top of the current list of terrorist nations was illegal. Conducting a war that Congress had explicitly forbidden was illegal. Ordering torture should have been illegal. Flooding the Justice Department with political operatives was illegal. Turning the US District Attorneys into a political organization was illegal. Running the federal government as if it was your family business — creating plum jobs for girlfriends and spouses of favored golden-boys — should have been illegal. Funneling enormous amounts of no-bid contracts paid for by off-budget government wartime funding to your family business was or should have been illegal. Rigging a national election by manipulating voter lists, election results, and election machines — as was done by the GOP in FL and OH — is illegal.
The GOP has a long and venerable history of breaking the law and then buying itself pardons or forbearance in the spirit of “healing”. The Democrats enable it each time we let them get away with it.
Yes, of course it’s appalling and of course it’s illegal. It doesn’t matter, it’s ok if you are Republican.

With 25% reporting the spread is 60%-40% and similar for the LG, but NBC is also using exit polls. I thought the polls had been close, so what happened? Yes, the gap can narrow, but this is unbelievable. There was record turnout today, including lots of same-day registrants, which everyone assumed favored Democrats. All Democrats need is to flip one Senate seat tonight to attain the majority and be able to halt the agenda, so let’s hope.

Among the most “interesting” is the possiblity that Orly Taitz will end up the GOP nominee for US Senate against Dianne Feinstein.
