Here are the seven dead-enders who voted against health care cost control. (h/t Rob “Master of Surreality” Eno). Good news is that most have Democratic opponents in November, and most all of them were newly elected in the “tea party revolution” of 2010.
Representative Paul Adams *Hall of Shame* (R – 17th Essex – running for Senate against Sen. Finegold)
Representative Richard Bastien (R – 2nd Worcester) *Hall of Shame*
Representative Ryan Fattman *Hall of Shame* (R – 18th Worcester)
Representative Kevin Kuros *Anti-choice extremist* (R – 8th Worcester)
Representative Steven Levy (R – 4th Middlesex)
Representative Marc Lombardo *Hall of Shame* (R – 22nd Middlesex)
Representative Jim Lyons *Hall of Shame* (R – 18th Essex)
Let’s send these Reps a message by donating to their Democratic opponents and sending them home in November!
2nd Essex & Middlesex (state senate)
Barry Finegold
2nd Worcester
Jonathan Zlotnik
18th Worcester
Donald Borque
8th Worcester
Can’t find a Democratic challenger here? Is Kujawski attempting a comeback?
Update (h/t suffolk-democrat): Robert Dubois Looks like he needs to add some legal boilerplate text to his PayPal page!
4th Middlesex
Danielle Gregoire
22nd Middlesex
Can’t seem to find an opponent here, Lombardo is one of the worst though.
18th Essex
Barbara L’Italien
Oh, and if one of them is your state rep, give them a call and let them know how you feel about the cost of healthcare.
suffolk-democrat says
Robert Dubois is running against Kuros. I think he’s run for Rep before. Here’s his website:

Not sure about Lombardo. He is awful though.
John Tehan says
Thanks for the shout out – I’ve emailed this story to both of them!

Don’t forget the Tea Partier Peter Durant in the 6th Worcester district. He won his special election last year by fewer than 60 votes. He should be beatable. Kathleen Walker is the Democrat running against him.
stievers says
whoops, misread the purpose of this particular list… I s’pose they’re all in the same club anyway.
hesterprynne says
Six of the seven sponsored a bill to prohibit a pregnant woman from having an abortion until she has had an “opportunity for an ultrasound so that she can view her fetus and see its heart beat.” (Ryan Fattman was the exception.)
Six of the seven recently voted for a Voter ID law, which the NAACP has denounced as “the heart of the modern block the vote campaign.” (Marc Lombardo was absent that day – but I’d guess he also supports Voter ID.)
jkleschinsky says
And I would love to see a Democrat run against him.
christopheroleary says
Lombardo is awful. If there is no Democrat running against him now, any chance that one can run on stickers? The Ds should be able to recruit someone given Lombardo’s voting record.
Christopher says
Lombardo’s precessor was a conservative Democrat who hung on by familiarity until he retired. Deadlines have passed so stickers are the only option, but that is a tough hurdle. Maybe jkleschinsky can run in a couple of years and I’ll help him however I can.
