This is really odd. Last night after the debate, Elizabeth Warren stuck around to talk to the press – as is commonly done in these situations. But Scott Brown was nowhere to be seen. According to his campaign manager, Jim Barnett, Brown had “had a long day,” which apparently means he was just too knackered to talk to reporters.
One might expect, based on what Barnett said, that Brown hopped in his truck and headed home for a well-deserved good night’s sleep.
But David Bernstein discovers where Brown actually went post-debate. This is from the Facebook page of the Green Briar Pub, located in Brighton:
According to a caption on the set of Facebook photos from which this image is taken, Senator Brown “visit[ed] us last night after his debate and pour[ed] a pint.” For the record, Brown only poured; he did not consume, but rather handed the pint to another customer.
Still, if Brown had such a “long day” that he was too tuckered out to talk to the press post-debate, it seems like a poor choice for him to then repair to a bar rather than his home.

This is one truly weird thing to do in the middle of a tight campaign and shows even less judgement than his debate.
Maybe he was at a bar when he got the idea to go with the asbestos thing for his next big attack and planned his press conference for this morning.http://www.boston.com/metrodesk/2012/09/21/brown-attacks-warren-asbestos-case-defends-debate-performance/BNgwgyxVCtVrDrgiX2bQSK/story.html
Too bad the globe already debunked it: http://www.boston.com/politicalintelligence/2012/09/21/scott-brown-asbestos-fact-check-true-but-misleading/nu1TAHsEexXYA5LvVWvpYI/story.html?p1=Well_MostPop_Emailed2
He either knows nothing about Massachusetts voters –hint: we don’t like attacks in campaigns — or he’s desperate or both.

Scott Brown tried to coward his way out of the debate, attacked her dead parents as liars with his opening comment, and then lied about her role with Travelers.
He’s desperate because he sees the clock ticking on his 15 minutes of fame. Once he loses, he’ll never meet with Kings and Queens again.

…he’ll set himself up for a run at governor in 2014.

I think Brown runs for Senate again.

qualified as Kerry is to be SoS, that he is likely not to be picked if it risks the Senate.
It might be that Brown will implode if he loses his “nice guy” image and is seen as not that credible as Senator which would make him less likely to win a second special election. Who would the most likely Democrats be?
It also would mean that he would have to rerun in 2014 and that he would become the most junior Senator again. Warren might be in the running for the most junior senior Senator.

But isn’t it illegal for non-bar staff to poor from the tap in a bar in Massachusetts?

I’ll leave it to those better versed in the rules and regulations surrounding common victuallers to weigh in on the legality of this shocking act:
