When Chicago teachers went out on strike last month, two thirds of Chicago public school parents supported them despite a massive anti-union TV ad campaign. How did the teachers win such strong community support?
The Boston Teachers Union is holding an open meeting Wednesday evening, October 17, with Chicago union members to answer that question.
The meeting will be 6 to 8 pm at their union hall, 180 Mt. Vernon St., Dorchester, JFK/UMass stop on the Red Line.
