Tonight is the second debate between President Barack Obama and former Gov. Mitt Romney. This Presidential debate has profound implications for Massachusetts’ 2012 U.S. Senate race. Democratic nominee Elizabeth Warren has proudly touted her ties to President Obama, including today’s endorsement from President Obama.
However, Republican Scott Brown is frequently silent about his close relationship with Mitt Romney. Sure, Brown and Romney notoriously share staff. Also, Brown has repeatedly pointed to Romney as the person he trusts most on economic policy. Yet, Brown seems a bit shy when it comes to the Romney-Ryan Republican Presidential ticket that he has endorsed.
To make it easier for all of us to lay out several of the clearest similarities between Republicans Scott Brown and Mitt Romney, we offer this Venn diagram showing some of the key Brown-Romney overlaps. Perhaps you could call it the “Eric Fehrnstrom Vortex.”
