At the Presidential debate last night, Mitt Romney defended his lousy record on issues of concern to women in the workplace by insisting (though not completely honestly) that he had “binders full of women” that he considered for jobs.
Throughout 2012, Republican Scott Brown has defended his lousy record on issues of primary concern to women by saying that he has “a house full of women,” as though simply having female family members somehow negates his co-sponsorship of the anti-woman Blunt Amendment, for instance.
While Mitt Romney has “binders full of women” and Republican Scott Brown has “a house full of women,” neither Romney nor Brown supports Paycheck Fairness for women!
Romney hasn’t given a straight answer on the Lilly Ledbetter Act, and has remained “mum” on the Paycheck Fairness Act. Meanwhile, Brown voted against the Paycheck Fairness Act and added insult to injury by notoriously calling the Equal Pay measure a “burden.”
