Don’t know anything beyond what the clip itself says, but apparently Sen. Brown is not above exploiting a situation without the permission of those involved, or verifying their political support.

The Scott Brown attack ad in question is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lkMbUgqSipM. No, I won’t embed it — the reference to Mr. Skvara begins at 1:31.
I’ve tried to embed the totally appropriate response from Mr. Skvara here.

I suppose that Scott Brown’s use of Mr. Skvara’s statement (out of context) is legal — but like so much of what Scott Brown does, it is incredibly tasteless and offensive.
I no doubt forgot to close the quote for the source link. Perhaps an editor can clean it up.
Maybe having both a radio and a TV show went to his head and turned his brain to mush.
He’s a tool now and a disappointment. I hope he sees the real steelworker’s statement and apologizes to viewers.
against Romney. Makes good use of the profits over people motivation that is killing our country.
Just watched the second video, and it got me thinking. That company was $400M in debt. That means there’s a whole bunch of folks who didn’t get paid. Employees, pensions, sure. But there must be other creditors. Banks. Supply chain sources. Contractors. Where are they? Where are they to come out and say “not only did those people at the steel plant lose their job, but Mitt Romney’s Bain Capitol made sure they got paid but they didn’t pay me for my work either.” ?
Bankruptcy leaves lots of folks unpaid, for loans and for work provided. Where are they in the ads? After all, with all these small businesses we keep hearing about, I’d imagine both the owners and their employees would be anti-Bain if they heard the story from that perspective.
but they are businesses and probably don’t want to get caught up in all of it. I tried to find more info on the bankruptcy filing but couldn’t find much, I found this on Politico.com saying creditors were paid .002 on the dollar but there are no links to verify.
After reading this CreditSlips article, the LTV Steel issue is very complicated and is tough to understand unless you are a bankruptcy attorney. And of course, that’s a classic Rove tactic: Make a false claim that can’t be explained away in 30 seconds, that being the attention span of the average uninformed voter.
So Warren used LTV Steel to try to force the SCOTUS to overturn a Second Circuit Court general ruling that disadvantages workers in a bankruptcy proceeding.
EW should probably add an explanation (as simple as possible) of this issue to her website where she dispels all the other Brown lies.
The ad is from the steel workers union. Because of the “People’s Pledge”, that ad will not be aired in Massachusetts. If you want people to watch it, then you need to make it viral. You need to email it to as many friends as possible, and you need to encourage them to email to their friends. Do it now!
Show the ad in MA.
The steelworkers never agreed to be silenced on this. It’s their America too.
But then again, Warren can buy the ad and put her name behind it. She “approved this message”
This ad plays right into “Browns a Fraud” message.
