I am posting to ask you to vote Yes on Question 3, the medical marijuana ballot initiative. I am both a registered nurse and a medical marijuana patient, and I’m asking for your support because medical marijuana saves lives. As a nurse I have I have seen how medical marijuana can relieve nausea, helping patients stay on life extending therapies like chemotherapy or HIV/AIDS drugs.
As a patient, I have experienced relief from multiple symptoms by using medical marijuana. Several years ago I was in an accident and was crushed by an overturned car. I sustained over a dozen broken bones, including my lower spine and pelvis. I am constantly in pain. I was placed on several strong narcotic pain medications that made me feel “drugged” and absent from my family. Medical marijuana relieves this debilitating pain so I do not have to take narcotics that are harmful to me. My quality of life has improved; I can cook dinner, play with my grandkids and spend quality time with my husband who has been my caretaker and rock throughout this whole ordeal. Please see my story as well as the stories of other patients around the state at http://www.compassionforpatients.com/videos/ who need medical marijuana to help them now.
Please share widely!
