I was saddened to learn of Bill McDermott’s untimely death. Bill was a fellow member of the DSC. He was an expert in election law and had great expertise working with recounts. I am privileged to have worked with him on a number of recounts. I learned a great deal from him. Please join me in extending condolences to Bill’s family. The wake will be on Sunday and the funeral on Monday.
I’ll always remember February of 2013 as signature month. From ironing nomination papers wet from snow to our “wine and sign” party, it was a busy month. Thanks to all who were involved in collecting signatures for Democratic candidates. It is a challenging but important component of our elections.
