The Teacher Action Group – Boston and the YOUNG Coalition (Youth Organizers for the Now Generation) are organizing the third annual Educators for Social Justice Conference May 17 and 18.
The focus this year will be “Educate To Liberate: Creating the Schools We Deserve.” Like the earlier BESJ conferences, this one is not just about Boston or for Boston educators.
If you would like to give a workshop, the proposal form is at http://besj.weebly.com/workshop-proposal-form.html and you have until April 5 to submit it. Look at the conference website for details: http://besj.weebly.com/.
Workshops don’t have to fit neatly into the focus – if you have an idea, propose it.
The conference will be at English High School in Jamaica Plain,
Friday 5 to 9 pm (with a youth open mic 7:30 to 9 pm), and Saturday 9 am to 5 pm.
It’s free.
