It would have been nice, when the assault weapon ban got killed by the Senate, to have someone with the visibility of, say, Barney Frank calling out his colleagues.
My fav quote from David Bernstein’s really excellent article:
“I don’t want to wake up in six years and say: ‘I scattered my fire across a wide range and changed nothing.’ No. For me, that’s a nightmare. It’s something I’ve thought about every single day.”

I especially liked the way the article spoke about constituent services. By focusing on her constuents, Elizabeth Warren is showing that she is very serious about her responsibilities. Mindy Myers and Roger Lau are both professionals who will do a great job!

Bernstein has set up a site and is answering questions there today on what he calls Ask Me Anything day:http://blog.davidsbernstein.com/
the common political narrative about politics and politicians that she’s at the top of the heap, untouchable, and can do no wrong.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m an avid supporter of Senator Warren and have been since she began challenging the banks years before she ran for office. But if I were on the senator’s staff, I would be careful not to buy into some of the statements the article makes about her, such as that she’s too big to fail.
