The SEIU (Service Employees International Union) will host a forum for U.S. senate candidates. Congressmen Stephen Lynch and Ed Markey have been invited to the event, which will take place on Saturday, March 9, at 10:00 a.m. in the 1199SEIU Offices at 150 Mt. Vernon Street in Dorchester.
Candidates will speak to members of the SEIU’s four most politically active locals in Massachusetts and will take questions from the approximately 400 union members expected at the forum. This will be the first time the Senate candidates will appear together on the same stage.
The members-only forum will be streamed live on MassLive.com in coordination with the Springfield Republican. So tune in tomorrow morning at 10AM and join the #SEIUForum conversation on Twitter with @1199Mass!
All candidates were invited, however Republican candidates Gabriel Gomez, Michael Sullivan, and State Representative Dan Winslow all declined to attend.
