Help Gabriel Gomez focus

I was so sad to read this in today’s Globe:

“It’s a campaign without a theme, and they’re diluting their messaging to the point where, once this campaign concludes, it’s going to be: ‘So what was his pitch again?’ ” said former state treasurer ­Joseph D. Malone, a Republican who lost in his bid to unseat Senator Edward Kennedy in 1988.

Come on, everyone, we can help! What’s a good slogan for this campaign that sums it all up? A few ideas below the fold.

Gabriel Gomez: Another man for another job

Gomez: Even a tax cheat is better than a Congressman

Gabriel Gomez: So what was his pitch again?

Okay, still needs a little work. Any ideas for what to put on the bumper stickers?

    “Bullshit in every spot and a conservation easement deduction for every garage”

    Or, if you want a pithy summary of his campaign: “It’s Ed Markey’s Fault.”

    Only in the Republican mind is Markey “pond scum” for daring to show a brief split screen of Gomez and Gomez’s own Swift-boating video of bin Laden, while it’s perfectly OK for the NRSC to issue a press release implicating Markey in decades-old scandals that had nothing to do with him:

    “ScandalizED Markey’s Washington: A Boozy Affair Chalk Full of Scandals, Fueled by Special Interest Money, Where the Party Never Ends.”

    As Slate’s Dave Weigel points out:

    “Boozy! Scandals! And yet the release was just a list of scandals not related to Markey, but that had happened while Markey was in Congress, like the Anthony Weiner scandal.”
