What an amazing woman, what an amazing career! Helen Thomas has passed at age 92.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Helen Thomas, the irrepressible White House correspondent who used her seat in the front row of history to grill nine presidents — often to their discomfort and was not shy about sharing her opinions, died Saturday. She was 92.
Her tenacity is unmatched in the trenches of Washington journalistic history. An interview that I enjoyed on PBS with David Brancaccio brings her words to her story.
May she continue to be a role model for journalists. May her actions and beliefs, that asking Presidents (leaders) tough questions is central to our democracy, continue with professionals and citizens for all time.
