Former Senator and professional political office shopper Scott Brown went on what Jessica Van Sack over at the Herald described as a Twitter blocking bender, again raising some serious doubts about his temperament. Hashtag #blockedbyscotto was born.
It all started once again with Brown posting something odd on Twitter.
Maybe
— Scott P. Brown (@ScottBrownMA) August 26, 2013
Which prompted Ben Jacobs a reporter for the Daily Beast to reply:
I just met you and this is crazy. Here’s my number. So call me “@ScottBrownMA: Maybe”
— Ben Jacobs (@Bencjacobs) August 26, 2013
Brown then blocked Jacobs from his public campaign account.
But Brown didn’t stop there, he then started a blocking spree that included Adam Reilly and David Bernstein amongst many others. Seems that anyone who responded to Brown’s Maybe tweet got blocked.
OK, well, get back to me when you’re sure. RT @ScottBrownMA: Maybe
— David S. Bernstein (@dbernstein) August 26, 2013
Poor Scooter, but “maybe” it’s not the best idea to have little temper tantrums and block reporters from your public campaign account.

Personally, I would see being blocked by this flaming idiot as a Badge of Honor. Congrats to you sir!

… an over-zealous intern. Somebody started mocking his/her real American idol and it was more than he/she could bear. “What? That’s a song lyric? Bqhatewvr! I banish you all from the grace and pulchritude of Scott Brown!”

By my perception, Mr Brown basks in a self-image of being utterly pure of heart, well-meaning, innocent of partisanship, and unpretentious. Like a pampered child on a sitcom, he seems to regard any sort of critic as morally repugnant. How can anyone criticize someone as blameless as he?
So yes, this could be an over-zealous intern protecting his or her idol. It could also be Mr. Brown protecting his idol.

Funny how future NH Senator Scott Brown gets more diaries than Liz Warren. Scott Brown is this handsome celebrity, and BMG is like the paparazzi, always there when he makes an appearance, tweet, innocuous comment, or takes a picture with Marco Rubio or fundraising for NH politicians.
Admit it, you miss him as our senator. You hear Scott played guitar with Cheap Trick in NH? He rocked it, baby! Live Free Or Die!

Sigh. I can’t prove it, but this and previous twitter boners best fit with booze or other drugs. I’d go with Occam’s razor on this. The simplest explanation using the known facts suggest he was impaired, deny it as he might and has.
You also could easily draw an inference from his arrogance, vanity and lack of manners, but those are largely unknowns in these cases. He might also be short on executive function, as shrinks refer to self-control. Well, as Brown might tweet, maybe.
He has a couple of strikes already. As for maybe, maybe he should put his phone in the drawer when he’s relaxing at night.
