In the “can’t make this sh!t up” department, Scott Brown showed up on stage with aging rockers Cheap Trick at the Hampton Beach Casino in Hampton, NH a few days ago (HT RMG). And, yes, it’s on video.
Does this make it more likely that Brown will run for Senate in New Hampshire? Who knows? Rob at RMG does point out that Brown is set to address the Nashua Lions Club in mid-September, which would be an excellent opportunity for Brown to continue to play coy about his future intentions thereby encouraging further speculation announce his candidacy.

Now I can’t get the vision of Scotto plaintively singing “I want you to to want me…” out of my head! I’ll have to crank up some Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin for the rest of the day!
I was happy for him. I’d love to be on stage with Cheap Trick or another band from my era.
That said, I don’t see Scotto running for anything. He’s going to milk the Newt Gingrich/Sarah Palin circuit for all it’s worth.
The more people who see him and don’t really get to know him the better off he’ll be.
