We are celebrating the nomination of pro-women’s health candidates in three special Democratic primaries last night: Dan Cullinane in the 12th Suffolk District, Dan Donahue in the 16th Worcester District, and Carole Fiola in the 6th Bristol District.
These victories demonstrate how important women’s health and comprehensive sexuality education are to voters across the state of Massachusetts. If each of these candidates is successful in his or her general election bid to become State Representative, women’s health advocates will have three new allies on Beacon Hill.
The 6th Bristol District and 16th Worcester District races are particularly important victories by candidates who support women’s access to a full range of health care options in districts that were previously represented by people who opposed access to safe, legal abortion.
In the 12th Suffolk District, Dan Cullinane is poised to continue State Senator Linda Dorcena Forry’s strong record of support for policies that advance the health of women and young people in our state.

I do not live in his district, but I have known Dan Cullinane for several years through various Dorchester related neighborhood civic associations and I am very pleased that he won his primary.
Congrats to Dan.
