Tip of the hat to the American workers who are building this section of Keystone XL, a/k/a Gulf Coast Pipeline. My goodness, the project came in on time and on budget, when was the last time we heard that? Once all the pumps are installed and final tests are complete, this new pipeline is expected to carry 700,000 barrels per day of oil from Oklahoma to Texas. Oil should be flowing by the end of this year….Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!
Last year when visiting Oklahoma, Pres. Obama said “Producing more oil and gas here at home has been, and will continue to be, a critical part of our all-of-the-above strategy,” I could not agree with Obama any more, and all indications are he will give the green light for the rest of the pipeline when he said the project’s fate hinges on its carbon footprint and vowed that it will win approval only if it “does not significantly exacerbate the problem of carbon pollution.” “Significantly exacerbates” tells me this pipeline is going to happen, no?
Thank you Mr. President for securing our energy needs, at least on this score. Below is my new favorite picture of Pres. Obama, This is better than the one I posted of him firing a rifle at Camp David. .
