Just wanted to let you all know that we are in the midst of a transition on the back end. So if you notice BMG behaving a bit oddly, don’t panic – the NSA is not meddling with our servers. (Of course, a moment like this is exactly when they would wait to start hacking us, so that we wouldn’t think twice about anomalies … but I digress.) Everything should be back to normal in a day or so, and we hope that the change will allow us to take greater advantage of what the WordPress platform can do.
Thanks, as always, for your patience.
Please share widely!
Maybe you can start the practice of disclosing on a regular basis that you have not received any secret court orders over the last week or month or whatever interval. Then when you do get one, we’ll know because you will not post that message.
😉
It appears I am able to post comments again for the first time in more than a week.
Or at least some value to the 0+ and 0- buttons.
looks like it may have been switched on in the background changes, or at least it was for me.
Comment moderation is on for me as well.
I’m guessing this is premature. Surely the editors lack the time and/or patience to moderate every comment.
Meanwhile, preview is back. All in all, an apparently-smooth transition so far.
Is this a policy shift?
When we shifted, I think some of the settings reverted to defaults. Moderation should be off now (except for new users). Sorry for the confusion.
I still have a temporary password which makes me feel like a part-time member. Based on my body of work, driving clicks to my diaries and positive dialogue (on my end anyway), isn’t it about time I received a permanent password? It’s been bugging me for a while, I’m sure most would agree I deserve it.
You can just email it to me, thanks in advance.
Oh! So that explains the sudden outbreak of readable diaries.
We’re in the “bait” part now.
After the permanent password, we’ll be in the “switch” part.
By going to Account/Your Profile and then scrolling down to password.
Just like everyone else.
please approve this comment so I can continue to munch on that yummy BMG goodness…
