Slow loading has returned – with a vengeance. Load times for me are even longer than the last time this was talked about.
I am often logged out when I did not request that. Many times, when I try to log in, I get an Application Error message, and cannot even reload the main page.
When I do manage to log in, the [x new] indicators in the post list are wrong, saying that all comments are new, even if I’ve read them all.
Generally, every operation on the site is slow, from posting comments, to refreshing, to rating a comment. Everything is slowed down.
It’s verging on useless.

I’ve seen every one of these issues in the past days. However, today it seems to be working OK for me.
Another thing: When I hit the Preview button here, my user name within the preview shows up as “bmg”.

I just got two Application Errors and the performance is now erratic.

My experience is the same as that of Jiasu. I have gotten those errors in the past, but no longer. Maybe try emptying your cache? The site loads fast for me with Comcast and Google Chrome browser and, actually, hasn’t experienced any slow loading problems — although obviously that is not universal.
I see the bug Jiasu mentions for Preview and have the same issue.
I have forwarded your comments to our technical support providers, the estimable Ponticlaro folks.
The good news is that we transitioned to an entirely new and updated version of WordPress, which was a major undertaking, and these errors — not to diminish them, because they need to be resolved — are the only major problems to result.
Onward!

I have Firefox set to empty the cache when it’s closed, and that happens several times a day.

I am experiencing slow load times too, and I have seen the annoying “application error” message more than I’d like to. We’re trying to get those issues straightened out. However, I have not had any problems with being logged out, nor with the “new” comment feature, so those may be specific to you in some way.

I sometimes get an application error, sometimes 404, sometimes an empty front page which has the logo in its usual place. If I see the logo and click it, I get the proper front page, which loads at a normal speed for my computer.

I didn’t know you could recommend a post twice.

I don’t even recall hitting the recommend button twice – another glitch?
