Great map, not surprising it’s from a blog, Miley Cyru is far more important for the media to cover.
Clark has broad support throughout the district and really ate into the geographic bases of the other candidates. The DeLeo pull in Revere and Winthrop is impressive in its own way.

is amazing, BTW. If you don’t get their daily digest, pop on over to DKos and sign up for it pronto. Detailed info on the latest goings-on in every important race in the country. Honestly, I don’t know how they do it.

While charts with columns of numbers are very interesting, nothing beats a good color coded map!

Weighing the colors by turnout would be more telling. Also it makes it look like two districts, but I was always surprised to have the same congressman in Framingham and closer to Boston.

I’ve seen Electoral College maps (I think) with the sizes of each state adjusted to the number of electoral votes. If the town sizes in David’s map were manipulated that way, I think Spilka’s position would be more evident.
E.g. Sherborn gave Spilka a total of 131 votes (and Clarke got 124).
number of voters is another. I don’t have a really good feel of the relative size (measured by number of voters) of each city or town, so I have no sense as to how “valuable” the win in each community was…

How many people voted? Gender of voters.
