I’ve no opinion on Connolly, but online communication often gets the best of people. We see it here often enough, but I doubt the former mayoral candidate spends as much time online as we do.
On the other hand, my latest gaffe was referring to some opponents from another town as “idiots, clowns, and turkeys.” I’m only a selectman who knows there is no political future when you live in Granby, but I’m sure mine was a mistake Connolly would not make.
using hyperbole to ask for the firing of a superintendent if she was dicking around with a “gender bias” accusation against a school board member…apparently “head on a platter” and “hung” as euphemisms for firing are to be taken literally.
A police complaint was even filed. Never heard a word of it afterwards. Bet the police were laughing up their sleeves at the superintendent.

“Boston Mayoral Loser Ends Run Twitter Fighting With Son’s Hockey Coach”
should be:

It would have at least sounded a teeny bit better if they wrote it as
“Boston Mayoral Loser Ends Campaign ‘Twitter fighting’ with son’s hockey coach.”
