It’s time for my annual Democratic holiday party. A special theme this year is celebrating BMG’s tenth anniversary. BMGers typically attend in force. With the predicted weather, if the storm stays as expected, the DPW tells me that my street and the nearby school parking lot will both be plowed.
Rescheduling, unfortunately, is not an option. Safety first, as always.
You’re all invited. Please join me at 17 Gary Circle in Westborough from 2 to 6 PM. I’m thrilled at the number of elected officials who are planning on attending. It’s a football friendly, family friendly open house with people coming and going throughout the afternoon. I’ve got coat racks and a sign-in table set up in the garage. Children’s games are in the basement. It’s not for the claustrophobic. One BMGer told me that she came once and she’s glad she came, but she doesn’t plan to come again. Maybe she’s changed her mind and is ready to brave the crowds.
Expected guests include: Senator Elizabeth Warren, Secretary Bill Galvin and Auditor Suzanne Bump. Congressman Jim McGovern and Congresswoman Katherine Clark. Candidates for Governor: Joe Avellone, Don Berwick, Martha Coakley, Steve Grossman and Juliette Kayyem. Candidates for Lieutenant Governor: Jonathan Edwards, Mike Lake and Steve Kerrigan. Candidates for Attorney General: Hank Naughton, Maura Healey, Warren Tolman. Possible candidates for Treasurer: Tom Conroy, Barry Finegold and Deb Goldberg. Honored guests: Massachusetts Democratic Party Chair Senator Tom McGee. State Senators Sal DiDomenico and Jamie Eldridge. Reps. Jen Benson, Dan Donahue, Carolyn Dykema, Danielle Gregoire, Kate Hogan, Jeff Roy, Tom Sannicandro. DA Marian Ryan, DA Joe Early, Register of Probate Steve Abraham, Governors Councillors Marilyn Petitto Devaney, Eileen Duff and Bob Jubinville. It’s a holiday open house with candidates coming and going like everyone else

Everyone is welcome. We are about a mile from the Westborough Commuter Rail station. We’ll arrange for a pickup for anyone who wants to come by train. Please note that street parking gets problematic. I’m encouraging people to park at the Middle School if possible. It’s at 20 Fisher Street in Westborough, just a couple of minutes walk.

I think that the candidates are all coming, but some of the people who hoped to come are digging out. Please join us if you can. Kate
The Governor is in Japan, but everyone else who is or wants to be a constitutional officer was there, as were Senator Warren and Congresswoman Clark.
