With this move, I do believe Obama will finally take the plunge, and approve Keystone XL.
In a devestating blow to opponents of Keytone XL and the tens of thousands of jobs that come with it, Obama approved 1,900 mile pipeline known as the Cochin, Kinder Morgan Pipeline, which “will transport natural gas liquids (NGL) produced from hydraulic fracturing in Texas, north through Illinois and eventually into Alberta. There is a demand for imports of condensate to use as a diluent for blending with heavy Canadian crude.”
I do believe the environmentalists, even some here on BMG, overplayed their hand in opposing Keystone. I recall someone said approval of Keystone would be a “game changer” in the whole climate change debate. It is clear to me, Obama is giving the oil producers in Alberta the necessary tools to extract and mass produce the tar-sand oil, with this pipeline approval. Is it not the next logical step, since we are helping to dilute the tar-sand oil and ready for delivery to waiting customers in America, that we to put the tar-sand oil on a pipeline rather than on rail, as it done today?
I would like to congratulate Pres. Obama for approving the Cochin, Kinder, Morgan Pipeline and look forward to another pipeline approval in a couple months.
