MassEquality-endorsed candidate for State Senator Jason Lewis needs the help of the progressive community.
On Tuesday, April 1, Jason and his Republican opponent, Monica Medeiros, will face off in the general election for the seat.
Jason has been a true progressive during his career as a state representative, which began back in 2008. As a representative Jason has fought hard to increase the minimum wage, protect unemployment insurance, make educational opportunities for children more accessible, protect LGBTQ rights, and promote community-based public health initiatives across the Commonwealth.
If elected Senator of the 5th Middlesex District, which covers, Malden, Winchester, Stoneham, Reading, Melrose, and Wakefield, Jason will be one more progressive vote in the state senate that will only serve to move our collective agenda forward. Not having him in the Senate would mean one less progressive vote at the State House.
