The New Hampshire Republican State Committee issued a statement Friday calling on U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, U.S. Reps. Annie Kuster and Carol Shea-Porter and Gov. Maggie Hassan to appear with Biden in Nashua. All four Democrats are up for re-election this year.
“Senator Shaheen, Governor Hassan and Representatives Kuster and Shea-Porter have all been enthusiastic backers of the failed Obama-Biden agenda that has hurt New Hampshire families. They should use the vice president’s trip as an opportunity to appear with him and personally defend their unwavering support for Obamacare, the president’s job killing tax increases and his radical policies that will increase the cost of energy for the middle class,” NHGOP Chairman Jennifer Horn said. “In Washington, Jeanne Shaheen blindly takes orders from her party leadership and votes with President Obama and Vice President Biden 99 percent of the time. She should embrace the vice president while he is in Nashua because she is nothing more than a rubber stamp for the Obama-Biden Administration.”
NH Democratic Party Chairman Ray Buckley also issued a statement Friday on Biden’s trip to New Hampshire:
“Joe Biden has been making visits to the Granite State for the last 34 years, allowing countless Granite Staters to directly interact with the Vice President,” he said. “I’m sure this trip will once again highlight the clear contrast between the Democratic Party’s vision of progress and expanded opportunity for New Hampshire families, and the Republican Party’s plan to revert back to the failed policies of the past while pushing a radical social agenda, instead of focusing on putting Americans back to work.”
I look forward to some Joe-isms about “New Hampshire’s” Scott “I see Indians” Brown.

…why all of those elected officials would not appear with the VP. They absolutely should call the GOP’s bluff and heed their suggestion.

They’ll appear at a Biden event if all the New Hampshirites stand on a stage next to Mitt Romney at a rally.

I met him in 2008in Manchester, N.H. along a rope line after he fired up a packed gymnasium of enthusiastic supporters. He spoke about being bullied as a kid because he stuttered and how his Dad taught him to fight
back against his tormentors. I told him about my boxer Dad who taught me how to fight and how I was a gay rights activist and recent cancer survivor. He looked me in the eye, put his arms around me, then leaned in close to whisper in my ear : “We’re both survivors. If you promise me never to quit, I’ll keep fighting too.” At that point I just lost it. I love Joe Biden.
