A Federal Judge, Candy Dale, has struck down the Idaho Constitution’s Ban and now is refusing to put the decision on hold because while the Governor has announced he intends to appeal the decision, the judge believes he has no chance of succeeding in the appeal.
Congrats to the citizens of Idaho, and nuts-to-you Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter. It may be time to start searching for a new nickname “Butch”.
Also, Saturday marks the 10 year anniversary of the Goodridge Decision taking effect in Massachusetts (May 17, 2004). And Idaho will have Marriage Equality on Friday, a nice little bookend to a decade of progress.
