Thus spake Scott Brown’s press flack, after a painful exchange between Brown and several reporters (especially Janet Wu) who wanted more information about Brown’s association with Global Digital Solutions, the mysterious Florida company that doesn’t make anything. Here’s the video:
Clearly, Brown was getting tired of being asked about this company, and it was starting to do damage to his quest to return to Mount Olympus the Senate. And so, shortly after that exchange, Brown resigned from the company’s advisory board and gave up all rights to the 1.5 million shares of stock (worth about $500,000 as of today) that they had promised him in exchange for his “advice,” the nature of which remains unexplained. Here’s Brown’s statement, as reported by the Globe:
“It’s clear from recent media reports that my continued role with the company would be an unnecessary and unwanted distraction,” said Brown, a former US Senator from Massachusetts who formally registered as a candidate for the US Senate seat in New Hampshire on Wednesday. “I want the people of New Hampshire to know they are my top priority. Therefore, I am resigning my advisory position with the company and relinquishing all my rights to the restricted stock that has been granted me, effective immediately.”
Heads up New Hampshire: Scott Brown’s top priority is now, and always will be, Scott Brown.
…at least he finally has a New Hampshire plate on his truck! You can see it briefly at the tale end of the video. I liked the protesters as well, wish they were being more vocal for the cameras!
But to them, he’s probably an unnecessary and unwanted distraction.
Scotty has shot so many holes in his feet that it’s amazing he can walk.
Has done it again on the Peoples Pledge. So with his one original idea and positive contribution as a MA Senator now flopped, what is he really running on other than looks and hot air?
Shaheen can and should nail his careers coffin shut.
is doing quite nicely, thanks.
Not the one that involves winning elections, but the carpetbagger thing.
Speaking of, which wimmins are up in 2016?
Have folded this into The Legend of Scott Brown.
Because the legend will never die.
