This is slightly off topic, but we have been talking a bit about the MBTA lately, so I’m going to throw this in.
Last night I went to a talk given by WPI masters students Mike Barry and Brian Card. In one semester these two analyzed MBTA data (for the month of Feb) and produced some fabulous work. As an analytics guy who teaches in the field I was amazed at the quality of the work. The interactive graphs along with integrated hyperlinked text that drives those graphs is wonderful. It’s work like this that makes me excited about the future of open government data.
