The first television commercial for the First Hampden-Hampshire Senate District campaign is from Eric Lesser.
I’m supporting Eric in the Democratic Primary. I’ve known him since he was a high school student. He is an important voice for the future Massachusetts. Read my BMG endorsement here.

How much out of district money did he have to spend to air the ads?
Most first-time legislative candidates struggle to raise enough money to do more than one mailing, let alone go on TV. Where’s the money coming from?
shillelaghlaw says
So, we’re before the OCPF deadline, but Lesser should volunteer the information as to where he got the money to air these ads in a local race.
This is about transparency. If this was a Republican, there would be complaints about Citizens United.
David says
This is Lesser spending his own campaign money, right? No Citizens United issue here, AFAIK.
Christopher says
Why so cynical right out the gate? CU did not lift the limits on contributions directly to the campaign. Your casting aspersions on his funding sources aren’t helping. It’s his own ad so he had to raise money $500 at a time. He probably does have connections through his WH work, but so what? If he’s able to do this I say good for him. Are you shilling for his opponent?
Mark L. Bail says
you’ve got a grudge.
I’ve been around a while and I’ve never seen a candidate who has created as much enthusiasm. Eric’s fundraising is a direct result of that enthusiasm. From David Axelrod to Mike and Kitty Dukakis to the 20 student interns who work for free, Eric has earned enthusiasm.
