Attorney General Martha Coakley, Treasurer Steve Grossman and Don Berwick have had several debates.
Warren Tolman and Maura Healey have scheduled 5 debates.
State Senator Barry Finegold, Deb Goldberg, and State Representative Tom Conroy have also had a lively televised debate.
With a little over a month until the Primary Election, will we, the democratic candidates for Lieutenant Governor, ever have a debate?
Some in the press have derided the position of Lieutenant Governor as ineffectual. Maybe you agree, but obscurity is certainly not the answer.
I think the LG can play a critical role, and I am sure the other candidates in this race do as well. Beyond even the most cynical view of the office I am running for, we can all agree that one of us will be a heartbeat away from becoming the Acting Governor. Despite the ‘Acting’ title, the LG would have the full powers of the office of Governor. Shouldn’t the voters know more about our positions?
Earlier today, Steve Kerrigan extended the ice bucket challenge to Mike Lake and I. It was fun and for a great cause and I will be posting my video shortly. I would like to extend a challenge of my own – for a debate on the many important issues facing the Commonwealth.
I call on the other candidates in this race, Mike Lake and Steve Kerrigan, to join me in calling for a, public, televised debate so that we can discuss the role of the LG and share our vision for the Commonwealth.

I can’t really dispute the premise. I’m surprised there aren’t more debates scheduled. Finegold, for example, could be asked about Market Basket.

that the someone with excellent qualifications runs third, while someone who suffers from an obvious case of self-puffery might win.
I like Mr Cheung.

I remember the poll just prior to the Dem Convention that had Cheung and Kerrigan tied at 5% with Lake at 3%. I don’t remember seeing one since.
Cheung out raised both Kerrigan and Lake according to the July 31 OCPF reports.
This race is up for grabs and anyone could finish first or third.

But you’re right. The actual voting could be much different.
Christopher says
Previous commitments probably took their toll at convention. At this stage they are all equally legitimate candidates in the eyes of primary voters.
