I support Steve Grossman, but I have to admit that Don Berwick was impressive.
Am I the only person who watched the debate?
Trickle up says
and am still searching for my lower jaw.
bluewatch says
If you are having a problem with your jaws, because of Obamacare, you can now afford health insurance to have the problem corrected.
Pablo says
Martha Coakley is correct. Holyoke and Springfield, and a few other cities and towns, have reached their levy ceiling and their taxing authority is dependent on property values.
Trickle up says
Well, that’s not what she said
I can accept, maybe, that it’s what she meant to say, but it’s a stretch.
bluewatch says
Why hasn’t Martha Coakley participated in the ice bucket challenge?
petr says
… is that you have to be ‘challenged’ by somebody who’s done it. That’s the virality of it, no?
Has anybody who has taken the challenge, so challenged Martha Coakley?

Donald Green says
Steve Grossman and Martha Coakley, being long time politicians, are more reactive to problems rather than proactive. Don Berwick has been more solution oriented by studying where room for improvement will make the greatest impact. So forget the horserace aspects of this contest, and vote for the one who truly wants to make a difference that will stick for years to come. Martha Coakley and Steve Grossman have served the public well, but lack the kind of ability to scrutinize with precision where effective intervention should be. This is highlighted by the casino issue, and reducing healthcare costs, namely bringing single payer to this state. Coakley was tepid on the pipeline proposal and Grossman was not far behind. Don Berwick gave an emphatic “no” to the deal, but did not stop there. He was able to articulate alternatives in the less than the minute allotted to him. An opinion on any subject that needs attention must be approached at its roots, be far reaching, based on sound data, and then accomplished. Don Berwick says he is up for that job and I believe him by what he says and what he has done. The debate on Sept 3rd, 7pm, Channel 5, WCVB will be the only time when a wider audience will get to hear all the Dem candidates. It should tell the tale just who should be the Democratic Candidate for Governor.
