Casino CEO Sheldon Adelson rakes in $32 Million a day. You read that right, a day, not a year. The casino billionaire, along with members of his family,gave $53.69 million to super PACs in 2012 to help elect Republican candidates, from Mitt Romney on down to a House of Representatives race in New Jersey. When politicians tell you that casinos will bring dollars to local communities, remember that $32 Million of those dollars flow to Sheldon Adelso every day to help him elect Republicans.
Casinos exploit the poor and the elderly. Casinos widen wealth disparity. Casinos are rife with corruption involvement with politics.
So tell me again why Democrats should support casinos?
