This morning’s Globe triumphantly announces the $2 MILLION (!!) Baker-Polito-MassGOP plan to counter all of us talking to our friends and neighbors and knocking on #DemDoors.
Now you know why I don’t worry that they always out-raise us. They spend it foolishly. Globe reporter Jim O’Sullivan puts this secret strategy in the context of Mitt’s infamous ORCA project, but what it reminded me most of was Kerry Healey’s vaunted 2006 response to grassroots organizing.

The Globe piece seems to indicate that Baker’s $2 million pitch to Independent voters boils down to: “Let’s forget those years of GOP mismanagement — and policies that favored the rich — that drove so many working people to vote Democratic for so many years. Vote Republican to keep those bad ideas and policies coming because, well, every eight years or so we should balance the progress we’ve made under Democratic leadership with more bad ideas and policies.”
Some message. Is $2 million enough to sell it? John is right we can GOTV Charlie to another defeat.
