On October 6, the Framingham Democratic Town Committee hosted a ballot question forum with representatives from the pro and con sides of each question. The folks at Yes on 3 headquarters asked me if I was free to represent our side, and I was only too happy to oblige! I’ve obtained a copy of the DVD, and today I uploaded the piece with Question 3 to YouTube:
So, how did I do? I was up against Brian Bass from the No on 3 side – I know Brian from working on Richie Neal’s campaign back in 2010. There’s one thing viewers should realize: while Brian and I are both active in the state Democratic Party, only one of us draws a paycheck for his activism. If Yes on 3 had hired Brian, he would have been sitting in my seat, but I would never have been found sitting in his seat!
The rest of the questions are rendering now, they should be online by the weekend, I’ll add them to the post when they become available.
Updated with the other three questions…

Question 2:

I am always impressed when people take that next step of activism, from helping behind the scenes to being the person at the mic answering questions. Great to see citizen activists like yourself getting educated and stepping up like this. Well done!

Next week I’ll be representing Yes on 3 at a debate at the College of the Holy Cross – the Committee to Elect Me is somewhere in my future!

Are you seeing any trending toward support of repeal?
Not that signs or polls vote…..
John Tehan says
I’ll ask about polling and let you know.

…was to say that it’s close, and a lot of folks don’t know that a yes vote means no casinos. Some good news as well – the polls have remained tight despite a TV ad blitz from the pro-casino lobby, and we’re planning to go on the air soon with our own ads. Antone who can put some skin in that game is invited to make a contribution here:

….that Brian Bass has no firm convictions of his own on this issue? Very often the views come first rather than the job. I wouldn’t assume that he is simply auctioning his services to the highest bidder.
