Everyone is in a dither now that we have a good idea who hacked into Sony. The neoconservatives are again beating the war drums, but neglect a few important facts. Namely we do the same to the North Koreans. It just so happens there is more to make life more inconvenient here in the US than in North Korea. We even get into our allies’ private business. There was that tiff with Chancellor Merkel. We ourselves have a cadre of films produced where the White House is attacked by foreign and domestic interlopers. Maybe the President could clue the head of North Korea in how we do not hold too many things sacred when it comes to our leaders or anybody else’s. Maybe bad manners, but what the heck, that’s what we’re known for.
The neoconservatives should also be reminded what they are dealing with in a belligerent prone North Korea. Unless they agree to having a return of the draft, their words don’t have much cache. There is a million soldier standing army, advanced weapons, and an extremely bad attitude in dealing with the rest of the world.
Making Sony their target makes some sense. Afterall it is a Japanese company, and the animosity between those nations is longstanding.
Is it true that the Beacon will be showing the interview? I really hope that’s true because I will be in line for that ticket. Number 1 it looks good and really funny and for 2 we need to stand up to these terrorist groups and let them know that we are not going to let them dictate what we watch.
If we let them tell us what to do then they have won, and that’s not what our country stands for. We must not put our tail between our legs as if we’re bad and run away from this!
