Took a breather that year.
That Al Gore went to Harvard. So there’s that. It’s purported that he choose Harvard because Tipper got accepted at, and chose to attend, Boston University.
Of course ‘Dubya’ went to Harvard Business School, also.
So, while there was no-one born in the ‘Bay State’ in the election, the Bay State did have, for better or worse, affect upon the formative years of participants therein, all except Dick Cheney… which may explain a lot.
And, while not a ‘Bay Stater’ Joe Lieberman, who attend Yale for both undergraduate and law school, can’t be mistaken for anything but a “New Englander” with all the contradiction inherent thereto…
