Congresswoman Katherine Clark and her son Jarod will join the President and First Lady Michele Obama and their daughters and other members of Congress to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Selma “Bloody Sunday” march for voting rights at the invitation of her House colleague Congressman John Lewis (D-Georgia). Mr. Lewis was beaten by Alabama state police as he and others attempted to cross the Pettit bridge to Montgomery.
I was disappointed to learn that Republican House leaders refused the invitation to march.
We should all re-dedicate ourselves to continue the fight to secure voting rights for ALL citizens.

It’s great that Katherine had the courage to skip Netanyahu’s speech, and it’s great that she went to Selma. Impressive that she brought her son so that he can learn and experience our country’s history.
President Obama gave an incredible speech at the bridge today.

Congresswoman Clark has been right thurr for our district even before winning her primary against Carl Sciortino. She joined my townies for a selectman’s food pantry charity with our other selectwomen… and the flash mob of millenials, too, for Markey be Senator in Naga Moksa.
I love our American Presidents, but the #selma Instagrams and YouTube videos on Edmund Pettus Bridge are fixated too much on POTUS Obama. Our Prexy does not need to be the center of the picture, because he is not running a third term, not even to get the electoral college votes of ‘Bama,
I watch this video:

It films American voters beside our two millenium presidents.

Watch Obama’s speech again. It’s an amazing speech, which is not only about civil rights, but also about America.
