I thought it was time to resurrect this fabulous old commercial, apropos our ongoing discussions about funding public transportation.
I think the ad pretty much speaks for itself.

Republicans are keen on voicing objection to tax increases and spending as “burdening our children with debt”. It seems they have no objection with burdening our children with dilapidated roads, bridges, schools, rails, ports and other public structures.
…if we raised revenue to pay for things now it seems like that is exactly how you avoid burdening the next generation with debt.
