Here’s the deal:
Who: YOU
What: BMG BBQ
Where: 7 Copperfield Lane, Franklin Massachusetts
When: Sunday, July 26th Noon-??
Weather Forecast: 78 Degrees, partly sunny, and NO Rain.
Why?: Why NOT?
I’ll host a Blue Mass Group BBQ on Sunday, July 26th at my humble home at 7 Copperfield Lane, Franklin Massachusetts. (about a 30 minute drive from the Weston Tolls for you Boston folks)
The cost is FREE. I’ll supply the main course vittles (I am a very good cook) and ask all to BYOB and snack or side if you please. If you would like to DONATE to help maintain the website, well, that would be appreciated. There will be a donation jar.
I have a deck area that can seat 25 people along with a front porch and a large yard (but please, don’t let Trixie the Wonder Beagle loose) so there is lots of room to mingle. There is also an in ground pool, so if you have little ones and want to watch them, bring them! Or bring your suit and dive in.
It would help to organize if you would send me an RSVP JohnTMay55@gmail.com
And if you know any elected officials who would like to attend, by all means, invite!

I’ve been there a couple of times before. They are gracious hosts to Democrats, and others I am sure.

So I can kick his ass in a game of horseshoes.

…but I’ll be there after that – and I’m working in Franklin, so it will be shortly after that!

I’ve got plenty of chairs, tables, and the food that I will be preparing is all freezable in the event that I have too much. I also have a couple of large awnings in the event of a shower. (and a farmer’s porch in front that can hold a dozen or more people very comfortably.)
Menu will be pulled pork, a BBQ chicken of some sort, and whatever else looks good at the market on Saturday. I’ll have homemade Hummus and Tapenade with chips for dipping, and a salad or two. I’m expecting some people to bring a snack or side and most to BYOB but if anyone is unable, they are still most welcome and I’ll have more than enough (A Democratic Loaves and Fishes)

If she says “why don’t you come see me”, the BMG picnic will be lacking a loud guy with a big laugh!

… although I may spend more than a couple of minutes ranting about your insurance company issue.

The Trump Popularity is real anger from working class people who are tired of getting NO return in their “investments” of votes for Republicans. In the same way, the Bernie wave seems to be much the same, only it’s from working class people who are tired of getting NO return in their “investments” of votes for Democrats.

So why, when I tune in Morning Joe is it Trump, Trump, Trump, and not Bernie, Bernie, Bernie?
David says
(a) Bernie isn’t leading the polls – not even close, and
(b) Bernie doesn’t insult people and otherwise say things that are outside the bounds of civil discourse.

This guy has the ability to self-finance, so he will likely be in the race until the bitter end. Another factor is that Rush, Eric Ericson, and other tea party media types are actively defending him in their media and attacking the establishment for attacking Trump, even after the McCain comments. That is something that didn’t happen for the far out candidates last two cycles, and shows that Trump’s appeal could be more enduring than a Bachman, Cain, or Santorum.
Dad’s Tea Party friend is still with Cruz, Rand has lost any hope of support from that crowd because of his dovishness, and it seems Huckabee and Santorum are viewed as yesterdays news. My guess is if Trump fatally falters, his supporters move on to Cruz, which is probably why he is the only one the other candidates that hasn’t spoken out against him.

A 25% chance of random isolated thunderstorms. No problem. I’ve got a few awnings on the back patio/deck area and a front porch that’s as wide as the house. Plenty of cover….and yeah, feel free to use the house too! As you all know, the weather in New England is hard to predict, so be a brave soul and make the journey….and the sun will shine. Maybe we’ll even get a few rainbows.
Tomorrow I start on the Pulled Pork and Jamaican Jerk Chicken.
