It’s not my part of the state so I doubt I’ll have a dog in the fight and I hope it’s not too soon to ask from a decency standpoint, but I was wondering if anyone knew what was next for the Senate seat vacated by the recent passing of Thomas Kennedy. Have dates been set for a special primary and general? Is anyone talking about running? I do not see any newly organized committees on the OCPF website. I figure state representatives are always possible candidates. Brockton is represented by three, two of whom live there and the third used to live there, but now lives in Easton though I don’t know if it is the part of Easton in the district. The other state reps for the rest of the district are either Republican or reside outside the district.
Just curious about 2nd Plymouth and Bristol

From Mass Live:
According to the data collected by Daily Kos Elections, the district is very slightly more Republican than the state as a whole. 59.15% Obama vs 60.79%. Warren got 51.9%, though Markey actually lost it narrowly, so the Democrats should be able to hold fairly easily, with a good candidate, but it’s a not a sure thing.

…that would mean another special for his seat, which maybe Sullivan could try for again.
After the redistricting in 2010, Sullivan ended up in Rep. Claire Cronin’s district.
